Report on the Prevalence of Intestinal Protozoa at Chinjoo and Sachon Area, Kyongsang-Namdo

Abstract
|
|
|
The prevalence of intestinal protozoa infection at Chinjoo and Sachon area was surveyed by the method of simple direct smear of feces during autumn, 1967.
The result of the survey is as follows: of 650 school children, 579 junior high school boys at Chinjoo and 347 school children at Sachon the prevalence of Entamoeba histolytica was 1.2^2.6 %, Entamoeba coli 6.49.50, Endolimax nana 2.0^2.9%, Giardia lamblia 2.3^4.3%, Chilomastix mesnili 00.2%, and Iodamoeba butschlii was 0.2^0.6%.
